1) Millinger Tea Garden
The Millinger Tea Garden is described as “a pearl among polder” on its website. It is a beautiful tea garden in the middle of the floodplain of the nature reserve De Millingerwald. Inspired by the Orient and the Mediterranean, the garden is spacious and inviting to stroll through.
Since it is in the middle of nature, it can only be reached on foot or by bicycle. It is about a 2.5 km walk from Kekadom village to the garden. At the Millinger Tea Garden, you can choose from high tea, full lunch, a variety of cakes, and of course, tea. Pay an entrance fee of 6 euros per person. The tea garden is open from the end of March to the end of October, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.
2) Overleek Tea Garden
Theetuin Overleek is located in the natural surroundings of Waterland. You can sail by boat to Monnickendam, just above Amsterdam, while enjoying a lovely high tea at this tea garden. You can also taste some homemade cakes, fresh juices, and homemade lemonade in the tea garden or on the veranda. After lunch and cake, why not take a steamboat ride? At this tea estate in Monnickendam, you can rent a boat and sail around the small lakes, villages such as Broke-in-Waterland and Monnickendam, and the vast meadows or have a picnic along the way.
3) Tea Plantation and Tea House t’Einde
Theetuin & teaschenkerij ‘t Einde is located in Zuiderwoude, just above Amsterdam. Here, you can sit outside and enjoy the beautiful view and the animals and plants in the garden.
