Travel Stories & Guide

When we look for healthy cooking recipes, we often come across dishes with a specific origin. Especially when we want to get away from the typical grilled fish and the typical boring salad. The truth is that, just as there are countries that abuse caloric foods, sauces and fats, there are many others that have a varied diet full of healthy dishes. Maybe at the moment we can’t travel as much as we would like, but we can look for recipes from other places and organize theme parties in our living room, if they are also good for our diet, the better.

And today, that’s exactly what we are going to uncover. Here are a of the healthiest gastronomy on our planet, many of which will surely surprise you.

1.Indian

The smell of Indian cuisine is one of the characteristics that attracts our attention the most, as well as its colors. All this is due to the fact that in India they use many spices to flavor their dishes, spices like turmeric or even mixtures of various spices giving rise to flavors as characteristic as curry.

It is worth noting that these dishes not only smell good, they are also very tasty. In addition, many have a high nutrient intake. Some say that using these spices can be very beneficial in fighting certain diseases. What’s more, many say that some of the simplest dishes in Indian cuisine can be a perfect anti-inflammatory method.

If you’re also looking for fitness cuisine, you should know that Indian cuisine includes low-calorie dishes such as ragi dosas: pancakes made from legumes. There is also roti, the most widely consumed bread in India, or dishes with raita, a traditional sauce made from natural yogurt and spices.

2.Vietnamese

Vietnamese

For many it will come as a surprise, but the truth is that Vietnamese cuisine is among the healthiest in the world. What makes it so tasty and so healthy at the same time? It’s very simple, we are dealing with dishes that use mostly rice, wheat and legumes. They include an abundance of herbs and fresh vegetables.

In addition, we can say that in Vietnamese ducks, almost no cooking oil is used. Water or chicken or beef broth is used. It should be added that the use of animal protein is more an accompaniment to the rest of the ingredients than a main dish in itself. Thus, it can be said that many Vietnamese dishes could be present in a vegetarian diet, since few of them use only vegetables in their preparation.

3.Japanese

It’s easy. We all know that when we go to a Japanese restaurant, we will find raw food and steamed rice. Raw fish, to be more precise. Sushi is healthy and good for you, but it’s not the only thing that Japanese food has to offer.

Other dishes in Japanese cuisine use a lot of vegetables; and that’s because the Japanese eat a lot of vegetables, both raw and cooked. In addition, it should be noted that, although meat and eggs are used, the main contribution of protein in Japanese cuisine comes from fish, so they greatly reduce the consumption of saturated fats, also having a high contribution of omega 3.

4.Ethiopian

Ethiopian

It is an unknown gastronomy for many, but the truth is that it is also considered one of the healthiest in the world. One of the reasons is that it uses a lot of vegetables and fruits. It should be noted that from a religious point of view, in Ethiopia, certain fasts are established: Wednesdays and Fridays throughout the year, as well as during Lent.

As far as the use of meat is concerned, while it is true that meat is also consumed, it always comes from animals raised by the Ethiopians themselves. In general, there are very spicy dishes in which the spices try to make the most of the vegetables.
